Wait! Will You Love Your Life When Your Business Succeeds?

I have met many people who don’t give enough thought to what their lives will be like once they start their online businesses. To help you avoid this problem, here are some things you may want to consider before you go too far ahead with your plan.

Active Or Passive Income?

What kind of income will you generate with your new business? Active income is income you earn by working. For example, if you start a business that does painting for homes, you have to actually paint to make money. So, if you break your leg or just don’t feel like working today, you don’t make any money.

Does Your New Business Require Lots Of Capital?

Some businesses require a lot of capital, but others do not. One of the most common business failures is caused by running out of capital. So, be sure to pick a business that needs a capital investment that is in the neighborhood of the capital you have.

What Hours Will You Work?

Some businesses are open every weekend, but some are not. Some businesses require night work. Some businesses have emergencies that you will have to go to. This might be residential plumbing or a similar business. Choose carefully because your hours and availability will be important to the success of your business.

Do You Have Proven Expertise?

Some businesses require licenses and government oversight. Some do not. Be sure to find out how much the government will want to watch and direct you. For example, I sell real estate. I have to take an exam every 2 years to keep my license. I hate that. Also be aware that search engines (and customers) may judge your Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness, EAT helps determine if a business is a credible source, impacting SEO rankings.

These are factors to consider so you don’t build a life you hate. If you have questions or want to discuss these issues, text me, Tony Delisi, at 847-471-7177 to set up a consultation.
